Elmhurst cemetery records show William Edgus Wallis, born 4 Sep 1870, died 28 
Dec 1920, and Janie Sewell Wallis, born 5 Apr 1873, died 18 Mar 1936, daughter 
of Isaac and Amanda Sewell. The Elbert Co. Heritage book indicates William 
Edgus "Gus" Wallis married Janie Sewell of Cobb Co., GA. He was a prominent 
builder of Elbert Co., his company constructing many of the older buildings 
and houses in Elberton.
