John Willis and Mildred Fortson. Records of Zora E. Carlton, deceased, show that Daniel Milton Carlton, born 28 Sep 1823, died 31 Jul 1894, came from Wilkes Co., NC in 1849 with first wife Mary Louise Steele (1827-1863), she being the mother of the deceased Sarah Ruth Carlton Willis.
