S. R. Belk in this city. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Carpenter of Elberton and is prominent in the social life of that city. Mr. Hailley is sheriff of Elbert county and the youngest sheriff in Georgia. He is a member of the Elks and the Shriners. Mr. and Mrs. Hailley are now on a wedding journey in Florida, after which they will be at home in Elberton. Additional Comments: Jack W. Haley (1896-1931) and Lucille Carpenter Haley (1897-1960) are buried in Elmhurst cemetery, Elberton, as are his parents Sanford Newton Haley (1870- 1916) and Sallie Hulme Haley (1868-1927). Elbert Co. marriage records show that Jack Haley and Lucille Mildred Carpenter were married on 14 Dec 1922. On his WWI Draft registration Jack Haley gave his birthdate as 25 Nov 1895.
