Atlanta Constitution, 12 Mar 1916
Mr. and Mrs. George Thomas Fortson of Elberton, Ga. announce the engagement of 
their daughter, Elizabeth Hanson, to Mr. Zach Clark Hayes, the wedding to take 
place April 27. 

Additional Comments:
Zachariah C. Hayes and Elizabeth Hanson Fortson were married on 27 Apr 1916 in 
Elbert Co. Elizabeth was the daughter of George Thomas Fortson (1850-1918) and 
Mrs. Tallulah Whitman (Hill) Shiland (1849-1946).George Thomas Fortson was the 
son of Haley Fortson (1821-1898) and 1st wife Elizabeth Jenifer Hanson (1819-
1853).
