Atlanta Constitution, 14 Dec 1913
Bowman, Ga., December 13. - One of the greatest social events of the season at 
Bowman was the marriage Wednesday, December 10, of Miss Faith Mewborn, 
daughter of Mrs.Texie Mewborn, to Mr. Atticus Talmage Vickery, son of Rev. and 
Mrs. W. J. Vickery, of this place. Rev. E. G. Thomason, pastor of the 
Methodist church here, performed the ceremony in a beautiful and impressive 
way. Miss Mabel Adams, of Bowman, the beautiful young cousin of the bride, was 
maid of honor. Colonel John Andy Smith, of Talbotton, Ga, cousin of the groom, 
was best man. The bride was becomingly gowned in a white satin dress, with 
chiffon draperies. She carried a bride's bouquet of white roses and lilies of 
the valley. The maid of honor was dressed in shadow lace, and carried a large 
bouquet of pink carnations.
