In the name of God Amen I Elizabeth Bond of the County of Elbert and State of 
Georgia do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form 
following to witt, first my desire is that all my just debts be paid Secondly I 
give unto my son Joseph B. Bond one dollar to be paid him out of my Estate. 
Thirdly I give unto my son Nathan Bond one dollar to be paid him out of my 
Estate fourthly I give unto the heirs of my daughter Mary Hilly [Hilley] one 
dollar to be paid them out of my Estate fifthly I give unto my son Richard C. 
Bond one lot of land drawn in my own name and in the County of Houston also I 
give him all my stock of horses cattle hogs and all my household and kitchen 
furniture and plantation tools and do further appoint William Bond and Gaines 
Thompson Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereoff I 
have hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this tenth day of September 1823.

Georgia, Elbert County) Court of Ordinary Jany Term 1824 Personally appeared in 
open court Stephen White and James Christian and being sworn saith that they 
were present and saw Elizabeth Bond sign seal and acknowledge the within 
instrument of writing as her last Will and Testament and that they subscribed t 
heir nams as witnesses to the same and at the request of the said Testatrix and 
that she the said Testatrix was of sound mind and memory at the time she 
executed the same to the best of their knowledge and belief Sworn in Court this 
13 January 1824.

Additional Comments:
Elizabeth Ballenger Bond (1730-1824), widow of Nathan Bond, Sr. of Albermarle 
and Amherst Cos., VA and Elbert Co., GA, was the daughter of Joseph 
Ballenger/Ballinger (1691-1744) and Charity Wade. [See book "Hilley Cousins: 
The Descendants of Thomas Hilley, Rev. Soldier, and his wife Mary Walker Bond" 
compiled by Ann C. Holloman and Nancy Brown Guest, pub. 2002.] Elizabeth and 
Nathan Bond, Sr. named their children Joseph Ballenger Bond, Richard Cox Bond, 
Nathan Bond, Jr. and Mary Walker Bond.
