In the name of God Amen, I, Mary Eavenson, of the state and county aforesaid, being in good health and possessed of sound disposing mind and memory do make and ordain the following as my last Will and Testament. Item 1st: I will that my just debts and burial expenses be paid. Item 2nd: I will that all my property real and personal which I may die possessed of be sold by Executors and my whole estate turned into money and divided into seven equal shares. One share I give and bequeath unto my son Willis Eavenson and his heirs. One share I give and bequeath unto my son Thomas Eavenson and his heirs. One share I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Teasley and her heirs. One share I give and bequeath unto Martha Harper my daughter and her heirs. One share I give and bequeath unto the children of my daughter Prisciller Goss now deceased to be equally divided between them, and the other share I give and bequeath unto Beverly A. Teasley and Thomas Eavenson in trust for the children of my deceased daughter Mary Oglesby said children each to draw their proportionable part from said trustee or trustees as they marry or become twenty one years of age. Item 3rd: I do hereby appoint Thomas Eavenson my son and Beverly A. Tealey my son-in-law Executors to this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills heretofore by me made. "In witness whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix my seal this the thirtieth day of July, one Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty. "Signed: Mary Eavenson, X her mark, SEAL "Signed, sealed and acknowledged before us William H. Edwards, Martha A. Nelms, William B. Nelms." The above Will proved in the Elbert Co. Court of Ordinary on 7 May 1855. [Submitters notes: Mary "Polly" Hilley (1781-1855), daughter of Rev. Soldier Thomas Hilley, Sr. and Mary Walker Bond, married on 24 Dec 1805 in Elbert Co. to George Eavenson (1782-1843) of Chester Co., PA and Elbert Co., GA, son of Rev. Soldier Eli Eavenson and Rachel Seal. Mary and George Eavenson's son Willis married Frances S. Higginbotham; son Thomas married Sarah Thornton; daughter Martha married Elijah Harper; daughter Rachel, not mentioned in the Will, married William White, Jr.;son George W. married 1st Sarah Thornton (not the same Sarah who was wife of Thomas) and 2nd to Frances J. Hunt; daughter Mary married Rufus Oglesby; daughter Priscilla married Rev. William Raburn Goss and they had 4 children, 3 of whom survived to adulthood, i. e. (1) Mary Elizabeth Goss, married 1st to John Brown, married 2nd to Green B. Bostwick (Bostick) and in 1902 were living in Hillsboro, TX; (2) Martha Ann Goss, married 1st to G. W. McCullom, married 2nd to William R. Vaughn, she died in Texas, had several children; (3) Flora Frances Goss, married William Johnson Killingsworth, lived in Fayette Co.
