Archives Written: July 16, 1847 Isaac Ginn Will 1847 Georgia, Elbert County In the name of God, Amen . I, Isaac Ginn, of said county and state, and being of advanced age and knowing that I must shortly depart this life deem it rite and proper both as respects my family and myself that I shall make a disposition of the property with which a kind providence has blessed me do therefore make this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all other heretofore made by me. 1. Item. I desire and direct that my body be buried in a decent and christian like manner suitable to my circumstances and condition in life. My soul I trust shall return to rest with God who gave it. 2. Item. I desire and direct that all my just debts be paid by my Executor herein after appointed. 3. Item. I give bequeath and desire to my beloved wife Marthy all my real estate and personally so long as she shall live or during her widowhood after my just debts being paid out of it. 4. Item. I give and bequeath and desire to my son Middleton Ginn Five Dollars, to my son Abner H. Ginn Five Dollars, to my daughter Mary Ann the wife of John H. Johnson Five Dollars, to my daughter Nancy Caroline the wife of Nelson Burden Five Dollars, to my daughter Delila the wife of John N. Burden Five Dollars. These sums of money to be paid out of my property at the division of the estate and the balance of my estate to be divided amongst the other named children, Tinsley J. Ginn, Thomas P. Ginn, William P. Ginn, James A. Ginn, Singleton S. Ginn, Henry J. Ginn, Martha S. Ginn, Sary M. Ginn, Gaines W. Ginn, Isaac L. Ginn. I hereby Constitute and appoint my beloved wife Marthy Executrix and my worthy friend John H. Johnson Executor of this my last will and Testament this the 16th of July 1847. 5. Isaac Ginn X his mark Signed, Sealed declared and published by Isaac Ginn as his last will and Testament in the presents of us the Subscribers who subscribed our names hereto in presents of said testator at his special instance and request and each other this the 16th of July 1847.
