James Chambers Hall (1832-1862): "I, Mary A. Hall of the county of Elbert and State of Georgia, being of sound mind and disposing memory, now make this my last Will and Testament: "I desire my body decently buried and all my just and honest debts paid. I will and bequeath to my daughters, Martha E. Maley, Louisa C. Fortson, Sarah V. Conwell, and my son George J. Hall all my property both real and personal as follows: the household property and other personal property I may possess shall be equally divided in the manner that each of the aforesaid children may agree upon among themselves. "I desire the remainder of all my property to be made into five divisi9ons by sale. To Martha E. Maley one share, to Louisa C. Fortson one share, to Sarah V. Conwell one share and to George J. Hall two shares. The reason for this is that I desire instead of giving a share to my son John W. Hall to give what might be his share to my son George J. Hall in consideration of the obligations my son John W. Hall is under to my son George J. Hall. "I appoint my son George J. Hall, at present merchant and farmer in the town of Ruckersville and county and state above mentioned, executor of this my Will. "In witness whereof, I have signed and sealed and published and declared this instrument as my Will, at Ruckersville on July 2th, 1885. Signed Mary X Hall Seal "The said Mary A. Hall at Ruckersville on July 2nd 1885 signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the same as and for her last Will and we at her request and in her presence and in the presence of each other, have hereunto written our names as subscribing witnesses. Mathews, Chairman. [Sumitter's notes: Mary A. Loftis (1832-1885) was the daughter of William Loftis and Catharine King. The daughter Martha E. Maley (wife of Asa C. Maley) moved to Elk City, OK and died there. The son John W. Hall died in Enid, OK. George J. Hall and Sarah V. Conwell died in Elbert Co. Louisa C. Fortson died in Atlanta but buried besides parents, sister Sarah and grandmother Mariah Turman Hall in the Hall-Conwell cemetery at Goss, Elbert Co..]
