Inventory showed one waggon $27.50, one saddle $5.50, one cross cut saw $4.50 and one negro man Allen $487.50. Appraisers were Thomas Pledger, William Bond, A. Stinchcomb and Thomas S. Carter. Johnson Hicks, J. P. certified the appraisers were sworn to perform their duties and the inventory and appraisement were recorded on 4 June 1827. The return of John Hall, Administrator of the estate of Seals [Seales] Hall was made on 3 March 1828 wherein it was shown that the boy Allen and the saddle were purchased by John Hall, and the cross cut saw and waggon and harness by Simeon Hall. The return mentioned notes and accounts in the amount of $597.25 which were not inventoried. A return made on 5 March 1832 by John Hall, Administrator reflected payments by John Hall as Administrator to the following: Jones and Weston, Samuel Turman, John Barnes, A. Edwards, Francis W. King and Job Weston, Clerk of Court of Ordinary. Payments made to John Hall were: July 10, 1825, $93.68 for 29 days work with three hands at William Smith's house; 1825, for hire of negro man Peter for 9 months, $76.50; 1826, For hire of Kemp 3 months and 9 days, $68.00; and 1826, for hire of Peter 8 months, $73.22 (persons paying not shown.) [Submitter's notes: Seales Hall, born 1803, was a son of William Hall and Sarah Blake. He apparently died unmarried and intestate ca 1825-26. The Administrator John Pryor Hall and Simeon Hall were his brothers.]
