Know all men by these presents that we Thomas S. Carter, David S. Booth and Joseph Griffin are held and firmly bound unto the Clerk of the Court of Ordinary and his successors in office in the just and full sum of four thousand dollars for the payment of which sum to the Clerk of the Court of Ordinary and his successors in office as aforesaid. We bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrators, jointly and severally firm by these presents. Sealed with our Seals and dated this 4th day of May 1812. The Condition of the above obligation is such that whereas the said Thomas S. Carter is this day appointed guardian to Blake Hall, Alcy Hall, John Hall and Thomas Hall, orphans of William Hall. Now if the said Thomas S. Carter do well and truly demean himself as guardian aforesaid agreeable to letters of guardianship bearing even date herewith, and agreeable to law in such case made and provided, then the above obligation to be void, else to remain in full force and effect. By the date of the above bond, Sarah had remarried on 4 Dec 1811 to William Head. ]
