I Edmond Harper of the State of Georgia and County of Elbert being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, do make publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say, First, I give and bequeath to my wife, Ann Harper, one eighth part of my estate both real and personal. Secondly, I give and bequeath to my Daughters, Elizabeth Dardin, Mary Jones, Lucy Howard, Ann Rucker and Drucilla Harper the sum of one dollar each. Thirdly, I give and bequeath to my son Bedford Harper and my Daughter Elender Harper, two tracts of land in the County of Wilkerson, that is to say, one in the ninth district and known by a plan of said district by lot number fifty eight and the other in the Twenty sixty District of said County and known by lot number Two hundred and Six. Fourthly, I give and bequeath all the balance of my Estate, not above specially willed to my aforesaid son Bedford Harper and Daughter Ellender Harper and my friend Beverly Allen to be equally divided amongst the three. Fifthly and Lastly, I constitute and appoint my beloved son Bedford Harper and my true and trusty friend, Beverly Allen, my executors to this my last will and testament, hereby revocating all former and other wills and testaments by me at any time heretofore made, and I do declare this to be my last will and testament. In Witnefs whereof to this my said will I have set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of August in the year of our Lord, one thousand and eight hundred and ten and of American Independence the thirty fifth. Signed sealed, published and declared in the presence of John Alston} Dudly Sale} Edmond Harper (seal) Adam Gaar} Georgia} Elbert County} Court of Ordinary March Term 1819 appeared in Court Adam Gaar & being duly sworn saith that he was a subscribing witnefs to the within will of Edmond Harper that he saw the testator acknowledge the within as his last will & testament that he subscribed the same as a witnefs & at the request of the testator to the best of his knowledge & belief, Dudly Sale & John Alston the other subscribing witnefses did sign the same at the same time as witnefses. With this deponant & that the testator was of sound mind & memory at the time of executing the same in the presence of this deponent.
