First of all, I recommend my sole into the hands of God who gave it and my boddy to be burryed in decent Christian buriel and as touching the effects of this world wherewith God has blest me with I first of all recommend that all my just debts be paid and of the remains of my property that my left, I first of all for the the love and affection I bear towards my daughter, Sarah G. Haynes, I give and bequeath unto her to be raised out of my estate $600 dollars and I further bequeath that the sum of $171.80 of the aforesaid $600 be applyed to a note I this day give to Benjamin F. Haynes and the balance of the above sum for her to freely to enjoy. Also, I further bequeath to my son, William D. Haynes 2 daughters, Letty and Elizabeth Winn, the sum of $10 to be raised out of my estate, each as a full compensation of any part of my estate going to William D. Haynes as he has had his full coto, and I further bequeath an eaquel division to be maid with all the balance of my children: Thomas J. Haynes, I. Haynes, Benjamin Haynes, I bequeath to his 2 children, Marion Haynes and Letty Haynes and I appoint my son Asa J. Haynes to hold the portion till they come of age for there proper use and benefit. Also I further give and bequeath James W. Haynes portion that wold of went to him, I bequeath it to his 2 children, Sarah Haynes and Letty Haynes, daughters of said James W. Haynes and I appoint the said James W. Haynes to hold there portion for there the children's own proper portion that wold of went to my daughter, Letty Bowers, if she was living and I appoint William Bowers the father of said child to hold said portion for his the said Thomas J. Bowers own proper use till he comes of age or marreys. I also appoint my son, Asa J. Haynes, lawfull executor to manage my estate with this my last and only will and testament in witness of the same I here unto set my signature with the acknowledgement of it being my only dictated will in the presents of: her Hiram Brown Letty X Haynes Arbeny H. Brown mark William T. Maxwell" Ga. Elbert Co.: Court of ordinary August Term 1855. Personally came into open court Hiram Brown, Wm. T. Maxwell and Arbeny H. Brown and being sworn saith that they saw Letty Haynes sign that above and foregoing instrument of writing by making her mark as her last will and testament and that there deponent signed the same as witnesses in the presence of the testatrix and at her request and in the presence of each other and they believe the testarix to have been of sound mind and memory at the time she executed the same Sworn to in open court this 6th of Aug 1855.
