I Sarah Higginbotham of the County and State aforesaid being of sound mind and disposing memory and wishing to make some disposal of the worldly estate with which it has pleased a kind providence to bless me with in common health do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all and every other Will and Testament heretofore made by me. First - I resine my body to the dust from whence it came and my soul into the hands of God who gave it. Secondly, It is my will that all my just debts be paid. Thirdly I will my negrow man Wiett to my step son David B. Higgnbotham, with a request that he be not seperated from his wife. Fourthly I will to my step daughter Jarusia Campbell one feather bed two cows and claves four head of sheape and one large desk. Fifthly I will to Eliza Andrew wife of Robert S. Andrew one feather bed. Sixthly I will to Henry W. Bond and wife my interest in the land whereon I now live and also my negrow woman with her increase name Mariah during of their natural life and after the death of said Bond and wife to be equally divided amon said Henry W. Bonds children and I will also that all the ballance of my estate be received and ejoyed by the said Henry W. Bond consistin of horses cows sheape and hogs household and kitchen furniture by the said Henry W. Bond payin all the debts of the Estate at my deceased. Seventh I do hereby appoint my friend Joseph Sewell my Executor to this my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I haf hereunto set my hand and seal this 18 day of July 1855. Assigned and Sealed in presence her of us, the words and wife Sarah X Higginbotham (Seal) in two places interlined before mark signed Curley Andrew Cornelia H. Personally came Burley Andrew one of the witnesses to the above and foregoing Will and being sworn says that he saw Sarah Higginbotham sign the above and seal the foregoing instrument of writing as her last Will and Testament and that he together with Cornelia H. Sewell and Joseph Sewell sign the same as witnesses to the same in the presence and at the request of the testatrix and in the presence of each other and that he believes the testatrix was of sound mind and disposing memory at the time she executed the same. The within Will of Sarah Higginbotham deceased having been proven at this regular term of the court on the oath of Burly Andrew one of the subscribing witnesses to said Will, it is ordered that said Will be recorded. There were no children by Sarah and the step-children David B. Higgnbotham and Jerusia Campbell were John S. Higginbotham's children by his second wife Martha Ricks.
