I, Moses Hunt, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and knowing that it is appointed for man once to die and being of sound mind and memory do make and ordain this my last will and Testament In the manner and form following. To wit, Item 1st. I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied and all other expenses touching the proving of my will & the entire execution of the same. Item 2nd. I give and bequeath unto my wife Tamer Hunt one negro man by the name of Jack and one negro woman by the name of Diner for her support during her natural life, and I do hereby appoint my two sons in law James Adams & Lawrence M. Adams Trustees to take possession of the two above named negroes to manage and controll and the benefits arising from the said negroes to be solely applied to my wife's support and comfort by the said Trustees above named, and it is my will that my wife shall have one bed bedsted and furniture out of my estate to be applied and vested as above named. Item 3rd. It is my will that the residue of my negroes (viz) a man by the name of Peter, a man by the name of Jeffry & one negro girl by the name of Doll, to be valued and drawn for by five of my children, whose names are as follows: my daughter Mary the wife of James Adams, James Hunt, John S. Hunt, Joel Hunt & Nancy the wife of Lawrence M. Adams, and be equally divided between the five above named children. Item 4th. It is my will that the remaining part of my estate both real and personal that has not otherwise been disposed of to be sold and Equally divided between all my children that may be living at my death and if otherwise to their children that may be then living with the exception of Henry Hunt and Joshua Hunt both of which has received their entire share that I intend for them or their children to have out of my Estate, who has received as follows (viz) Henry Hunt has received five hundred and five dollars & Joshua Hunt has received eighty five dollars. Item 5th. It is my will that the Two negroes and bed bedsted and furniture that is named and given to my wife in the second item at the death of my wife to be valued & disposed of to the same five of my children named in Item the third after all necessary expenses be paid if any. Item 6th. my will and desire is that this my will shall not be so construed as to prevent any one of my children that may living at my death or their children from shareing an Eaqual share of my Estate both real and personal with the exception as excepted in Item the fourth in addition to what they have heretofore received which is as follows (viz), my son Richard Hunt has received one hundred and thirty dollars, my daughter Mary Adams has received fifty-five dollars, James Hunt has received ninety dollars, George Hunt who is now dead has received three hundred and twenty dollars, John S. Hunt has received seventy dollars. Joel Hunt has received eighty dollars and my daughter Nancy Adams has received fifty-nine dollars all of which sums is to be taken into consideration in the final distribution of my estate so that all of my children shall share & share alike with the aforesaid exception in Item fourth. Item 7th. It is my will and I do hereby appoint my Two sons in law James Adams and Lawrence M. Adams Executors to this my last will and Testament and hereby revoking all former wills. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this Sixth day of June in the year of our Lord Eighteen hundred and thirty Nine.
