Broadhead sl-joann@juno.com 17 May 2004 WILL - MRS. MARY J. JORDAN Last Will and Testament of Mrs. Mary J. Jordan Elbert Co., Ga. I, Mrs. Mary J. Jordan of said state and county, being of sound mind and memory, do make this my last will and testament. 1st I desire that my body be buried in a decent and Christian like manner. 2nd I direct that all my just debts be paid without unncessary delay by my executor hereinafter named and appointed. 3rd I give to my grandson, viz: Clyde Jordan my house and one acre of land in Bowman, Ga. Where I now live, as per survey of J. H. Waren, Sept. 7, 1916, to hold during his life and at his death to go to his heirs at law. 4th I direct that the balance of my property be sold by my executor. 5th I direct that my executor have erected one monument at head of mine and my husbands grave costing not more than $50.00 fifty dollars. 6th I direct that a twentyfive dollar monument be erected at the head of N. A. Jordan's grave. 7th I direct that the balance of the proceeds of my property be equally divided between my son N. M. Jordan, my daughter Mattie F. Adams, my daughter Mary J. Webb, and the two heirs of my son J. H. Jordan, deceased viz: Alice Lee Satterfield and Joe Herman Jordan. 8th I hereby constitute and appoint O. L. Will Book C - 1895-1919, pages 409-410 JB ) NOTE: Mary Jane Moss, born April 12, 1833 died Nov. 6, 1917 buried Holly Springs Baptist church Bowman, Ga. she was dau of Martin Moss and Nancy Fannin Moss married on Nov. 17, 1852 to Francis Marion Jordan born March 15, 1831 died Nov. 22, 1869 buried Holly Springs Baptist church Bowman, Ga. he was son of Stephen White Jordan and Elizabeth Burden Jordan of Elbert Co., Ga.
