Calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it was appointed for all ones to die do make and ordain this my last will and testament that is ( ? ) principally and first all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands the Almighty God that gave it and my body I recommend to the earth to be burried in a decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executor, nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the mighty power of God - And as touching such worldly estate where with it has pleased God to bless me with in this life. First I lend and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife the plantation whereon I now live also the use of my plantation tools one horse colt three cows and ten head of sheep. The balance of the sheep to be sold to pay my just debts and fifteen head of hogs to be sold also to pay my debts. Also I do give one hundred dollars note bearing date the twentieth day of February 1834 upon Josiah ROBERTS of Hall County when said note given for her own use and benefit during natural life and one yoke of steer and cart of the plantation and the said tract of land equally divided between my two sons (To wit) John and Allen containing 159½ acres be the same more or less on Cold Water Creek. Also another tract of land in the second section and second Dist No. 996 I give to my two sons Jonathan and Jesse containing 40 acres be the same more or less which they will have to take out the grant. Also another lot of land to be equally divided between my five daughters (to wit) Sarah, Nancy, Margy H., Jane B. and Rachel lying in the fifth Dist Apling ( ? ) City No. 371st for their use and benefit the three daughters who are with me now to have their property as they now claim it (to wit) Nancy, Jane B., and Rachel. I do hereby appoint my sons John and Allen my lawful executors to this my last will and testament. I do her by nulafy, disallow, revoke and disanul ( ? ) all and every other testament, wills, legacies, bequeaths, and executors by me were before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this the 18th day of December 1834 signed sealed pronounced and declared by the said Ansel McGEE as his last will and testament in the presence of us and in the presence of each other Ansel (X his mark) McGEE (seal) James CARPENTER Harris TYNER John H. JOHNSON and being sworn saith that he was present and saw Ansel McGEE sign seal and deliver the above & foregoing Instrument of writing as his last will and Testament and that he with James CARPENTER and Harris TYNER assigned the same as witnesses in the presence of the Testator and at his request and in the presence of each other and that the said Testator was of sound mind and memory at the time he executed Sworn in open Court January 5th 1835 John H.
