Being in a low condition in body but sound in memory and mind. I do make this my last will and testament in manner and form following I commit my soul to God that gave it when it pleaseth him to call it from it hopeing for many through the merrits of Christ my saviour. I Commit my body to the earth there to be decently entered at the discreation of my Executors hereafter named. After all my lawful debts being discharged. I do bequeath to my son Stephen one hundred acres of land granted to John Gunnels beginning at a __?_____ corner along square joining Millican adaseda? land it being a part of the tract where Nathaniel Smith now lives on. I do bequeath to my beloved wife Sara the balance of the tract of land granted to John Gunnels her lifetime or widowhood. And if the same Sara Smith remove from the land or by death the said land to be sold and equally divided between Alexander. Eady. Stephen. Delila Winne John. William. Sara Margaret Smith. And if the said Sara Smith should consent to sell said land to be entitled to a child's part and do bequeath to my beloved wife Sara her bed and furniture. one horse and saddle and bridle one cow and calf. I do bequeath to my daughter Delila her bed and furniture and one cow and calf. I also do bequeath to my daughter Margaret her bed and furniture and one cow and calf ________________ I do bequeath to my son William all the plantation tools so long as he = remains to work with and for his Mother. I desire and appoint my sons Alexander and Stephen to be my sole Executors of this my last will and testament. The balance if any to be equally divided between the above mentioned legetees- In witness where of I have here as to set my hand and affixed the seal this 15th day of December 1801-signed sealed and delivered and acknowledged by the said Nathaniel Smith to be his last will and testament- In presence of us = His Sam E?
