Will of Walker Richardson Elbert Co. Ga. 1819 Know ye that I Walker Richardson of the State and County afore said being of perfect mind and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and testament hereby revoking any and all other Wills by me heretofore made. (First) my soul I recommend to God who gave it and my body I consign to the Earth to be Buried in decent Christian Burial. Secondly my will is that my just debts and funeral charges be first paid out of my estate (Thirdly) my will is that my Executors pay out of my Estate to my Daughter Katherine THORNTON Five hundred Dollars and to the children of my Deceased Daughter Polly ALLEN Five hundred Dollars Fourthly I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife Prudence one third of all my estate both Real and Personally after the payment of my just debts & last Charges to be by her possessed (?) and enjoyed for and during her natural life. And after her decease to be equally divided between my four Children William N. RICHARDSON Richard RICHARDSON Martha HEAD and Prudence UPSHAW. (Fifthly) I give and bequeath unto my beloved Son in Law Leroy UPSHAW Husband of my Daughter Prudence UPSHAW one negro Boy name of Wyatt to him and his heirs forever for and in Consideration of his Services as my agent to transact during my life all my necesary Commercial Businefs (Sixthly) my will is that the residue of my estate both real and personal of What kind soever after the payment of my just debts last charges and foregowing legacies be sold by my Executors at Publick Sale to the highest bidder first giving reasonable previous notice thereof and the amount of the Sale of said Estate to be equally divided between my four children William N. Richardson Richard Richardson Martha HEAD and Prudence UPSHAW they & each of them to render an account of the Value of the property by me heretofore advanced to them or either of them so that each may pofefs an equeal share With the others of my estate including the property so advanced and the proceeds of the Sale of the estate I willed Seventhly & Lastly I constitute and appoint my friends Richard FORTSON and John S.( J?) HIGGENBOTHAM executors of & to this my last will and testament. In Testimony whereof I have heron to set my hand and affixed my seal this 13th Day of March 1817 (1819?)
