Will of William Webb 12 Oct 1822 Elbert County, GA In the name of God I William Webb being of sound mind and memory do make constitute and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form form following. (viz) Item 1st It is my will and desire that my negro man Abram & his wife Milley shall have that part of my plantation at present occupied by the Kerlins as a place of Residence, and for there support during their lives. Item 2nd It is my desire that the rest of my Negroes shall have the previledge of choosing there Masters after my death and in event of there making such choice the legatees to whom I have heareafter given the said negroes to shall be bound to take such price as may be put on them by three disinterested persons to be materially chosen for that person. Item 3rd I give to my sister Lucy Barnett's children, Mary Bellemy's children, Lucky Barnett's children, Salley Colley's children, my brother John & Austin, Clabourn Webb's children Pleasant Webb and Patsey Hattisey(?) each of them one 9th part of my estate by equal division that is for each of my Brothers & sisters or there familys to be equal legatees. Item 4th It is my desire that Pope Webb & William Moore be considered as the guardians of my negro Man Abram & his wife Milley and I hearby leave them under there care and direction. Item 5th I hereby appoint William Moore as my Executor to this my last will in Testimory wherof I have heareunto set my hand and Seal this 12th of October 1822. William Webb Milton P.
