Turn on 46 toward Oak Park, turn right on next dirt road, go about 1/2 mile and turn left into a dim hunters' road through planted pines. This will take you to the cemetery. The land is owned by Willard Wilkes. There are remnants remaining of a once-sturdy iron fence, mostly tangled up in a tree. This cemetery has been badly damaged by timber cutters. (1) Unmarked adult grave (sunken area in earth) (2) Margret, wife of Seaborn Moseley born Mar. 7, 1809 died the year 1874 The sweetest reward We receive at last In consciousness of virtuous actions passed. (Margret's maiden name was Moore.) (3) Seaborn Moseley born the year 1805 died Dec. 22, 1866 No ostentation mark'd his tranquil way. His duties all discharged without display. (4) Sacred to the memory of C. P. Mosley who died 2nd April 1855 Aged 45 years Ye living men as ye pass by As ye are now so once was I. As I am now soon you must be Prepare for death and follow me. (This is Cuyler Phillips Mosley, killed by Matthew Williamson in fight with Bowie knives.) (5) Sacred to the memory of Clemen T. Mosley who departed this life Novr. 3rd 1850 Aged 52 years 1 month and 18 days (same epitaph as above) (6) Possibly an unmarked grave beside this one; has piece of iron rod from fence stuck in ground. (7) Sacred to the memory of Mary Mosley who died 26th July 1855 Aged 40 years (Same epitaph as C.P. and Clemen, but with a _____ in place of "men"; partial wire fence enclosure remaining with carved fence posts. Her maiden name was Wilkes; she was wife of John Mosley.) (8) Part of headstone: died (broken off) Aged 72 years and 25 days Footstone: EW (Footstone may or may not go to this headstone, not in alignment with it. This might be Elizabeth, wife of Elisha Wilkes.) (9) Sacred to the memory of Mary Salter Wife of William Salter Born Jan'y the 31st 1818 Died April the 18th 1863 (Her maiden name was Wilkes; married William Salter 1/16/1848, Emanuel County.) (10)Obviously other unmarked graves (sunken areas).
