                  Funeral Services for Henry Burton Canady
 Henry Burton Canady died of a heart attack at his residence near Summit, 
Sunday, Nov. 6, at 3:15pm. He was 61 years old, born June 14, 1877 (actually 
1888) in Emanuel County and his father was the late Berry Canady of Jefferson 
County. He was a member of the Swainsboro Masonic Lodge No. 224.
 Survivors are his wife, the former Gertrude McDaniel of Treutlen County; six 
daughters, Mrs. Eustice Turner, Summit, Mrs. George Wrens, Stillmore, Mrs. 
Hubert Riner, Swainsboro, Mrs. William Hall and Mrs. Wilmer Hall of Graymont, 
and Miss Lizzie Ethel Canady, Summit; four sons, Carl Canady and Newborn 
Canady of Stillmore, Byron Canady of Graymont and Robert Lewis Canady of 
Summit; three sisters, Mrs. Mollie Anderson, Kite, Mrs. Mary Riner, 
Swainsboro, and Mrs. Mrs. Daisy Newlin, Glendale, Arizona; two brothers, 
Elbert Canady, Midville and Berry Canady, Glenville; 14 grandchildren; and 1 
great-grandchild.
 Funeral servives were held at 3pm Tuesday, Nov. 8, at Midway Church with 
Elder Rollie Riner, Elder T. H. Beckworth, and Elder Blass Copeland 
officiating. Burial was in the church cemetey (actually Lamb's Cemetery) with 
Masonic rites at the graveside.
 Pallbearers were George Smith, Walter Lamb, Roger Dekle, Herman Subotnick, 
William Edenfield, and Francis Hayes.
 Swainsboro Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
