                          Mr. Zack Claxton Sr.
                            Retired Farmer
 Mr. Zack J. Claxton Sr.,91 of 3705 Columbia Drive, Martinez, died Thursday, 
March 28, 1991 at University Hospital, Augusta.
 The funeral will be held at 4pm today at Thomas L. King Funeral Home, with 
Elder Jack Holder and the Rv. James R. Wheeler officiating. Burial will be in 
Bellevue Memorial Gardens, near Grovetown.
 Mr. Claxton, a native of Emanuel County, had retired as a farmer and was a 
member of Hope Chapel Christian Church.
 Survivors include five sons, Billy M. Claxton, Martinez, Eddie Claxton, 
Waynesboro, Franklin Claxton, North Augusta, and Zack Claxton Jr.and Glenn 
Claxton, both of Grovetown; two daughters, Shirley A. Hall and JoAnne C. 
Cushman, both of Martinez; a sister, Ester Williams, Kite; and ten 
grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
 Pallbearers will be Gary Claxton, Casey Claxton, David Claxton, Rockey 
Claxton, Tony Claxton, Jerry Long, and Ashley Neil.
 Memorials may be made to Hope Chapel Christian Church.

Additional Comments:
Zack was born 11 Jun 1899 to Bennett L. Claxton and Mary Ann Tyson Claxton. 
His wife was Mary Jane Tapley Claxton who is also buried at Bellevue Memorial 
Gardens. Georgia death certificate #013657.
