Coleman, 91, died Saturday at the Memorial Medical Center in Savannah after a long illness. The Emanuel County native was a member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church and was church and choir pianist for many years. She also taught private music lessons for more than 40 years. Surviving are a son, R.Lester Coleman Jr.; three daughters, Mrs. June Malone and Mrs. Mary Evans, all of Savannah and Mrs. Betty Stinson of Macon; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchilden; and two great-great-gandchildren. Funeral service: 2pm today at Swainsboro First Baptist Church, burial in Swainsboro City Cemetery. Peebles-Curry Mortuary, Swainsboro. Additional Comments: Florrie was born 18 Mar 1900 to Colonel Solomon Jacob "Sol" Tyson and Lucenda E. "Sweeter" Durden Tyson. Georgia death certificate #023775. Her husband, Rufus Lester Coleman Sr. is also buried in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
