Coxwell Mrs. Betty Elizabeth Edenfield Coxwell, 79, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. J. R. Youmans of Lexsy after a short illness. She was born in Emanuel County, the daughter of the late John Edenfield and the late Nancy Strange Edenfield of Eamnuel County. She is survived by her husband, T. J. Coxwell of Swainsboro; five daughters, Mrs. J. R. Youmans of Lexsy, Mrs. A. T. Sumner of Atlanta, Mrs. H. E. McCarthy of Atlanta, Mrs. W. A. Sumner of Swainsboro, and Mrs. Thomas Smith of Jacksonville; two sons, T. J. Coxwell and E. H. Coxwell of Swainsboro; thirty grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday at 11am from New Hope Church with Elder Rollie Riner officiating, assisted by Elder Pat Byrd. Burial was in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers were the following grandsons, Edwin Youmans, Arthur Sumner Jr., Thomas Coxwell, Talmadge Youmans, Jake Coxwell, Smithy Youmans, Jurdy Smith, and Bobby Sumner. Honorary pallbearers were: Dr. S. S. Youmans, Jottie Lewis, Johnny Amerson, E. N. Hooks, William Edenfield, E. L. Overstreet, Julius Mason, and Ruby Stroud. DeLoach Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Betty was born 29 Aug 1870. Her husband, Thomas Fletcher Coxwell is also buried in New Hope Church Cemetery.
