Coxwell, 67, were held at New Hope Primitive Baptist Church in Lexsy. Elder Rollie Riner and Elder Hardwick Lanier officiated with burial in the church cemetery. Mr. Coxwell died Sunday in Candler County Hospital. A native of Emanuel County, he was a retired farmer and a member of New Hope Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Coxwell of Swainsboro; a daughter, Mrs. Jack Jones of Walterboro, SC; a son, Thomas J. Coxwell Jr. of Waynesboro; five sisters, Mrs. Bob Youmans and Mrs. Thomas Smith, both of Jacksonville, Fla., Mrs. W. A. Sumner of Swainsboro, and Mrs. Essie B. Sumner and Mrs. Elder McCarthy, both of Atlanta; and one brother, E. H. Coxwell of Waynesboro. Peebles-Curry Mortuary of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Thomas was born 11 Nov 1903 to Thomas Fletcher "Tobe" Coxwell and Betty Elizabeth Edenfield Coxwell who are also buried in New Hope.
