Mrs. Erler had been a lifelong resident of Swainsboro until she moved to California in 1935. She was the wife of the late Gus Erler and a member of the Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Mollie Rickliff, Mountain View, Calif.; two sons, J. M. Townsend of Swainsboro and Joe H. Erler of Mobile, Ala.; four sisters, Mrs. T. V. Leonard, Greensboro, NC, Mrs. J. A. Palmer, Vidalia, and Mrs. O. W. Downy and Mrs. Mary A. Higgs, both of Tampa, Fla.; one brother, S. J. Townsend, Fayetteville, NC; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30pm Saturday at Swainsboro Primitive Baptist Church with Elder S. M. Claxton and Elder R. M. Riner conducting. Burial will be in the Sardis Cemetery near Kite. Pallbearers will be W. E. Gray, T. S. Tyson, Peyton Youmans, Louis Jones, H. G. Kerby, and J. L. Lewis. The body will remain at Swainsboro Mortuary from 3pm Friday until time of the funeral.
