(Jim) Carroll williamcarrollj@bellsouth.net January 21, 2009, 2:41 pm The Macon Telegraph 11-12-1947 Page 12A Death Claims Mishap Victim Jody Jordan Foskey, 2357 Second Street, who was injured Monday while at work at the Georgia Clay Coating Company, died at 2:20 p.m. yesterday in a local hospital. An oiler on a power shovel, Foskey stepped down from the shovel and was struck by one of the dirt hauling machines operating at the site. Foskey was born in Emanuel County, Nov. 23, 1900, the son of Mack Foskey and Elivenia Hutchison and had made his home in Macon for the last six years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Nanie Tyson; two sons, Medford Foskey and Morris Foskey; two daughters, Mrs. Nell Mallory and Mrs. Doris Sefachak, all of Macon; three brothers, three sisters, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held in Corinth Church, Meeks, at 2 p.m., Thursday with the Rev. Hatcher officiating. Burial will be in the churchyard with Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
