Grier, 75, of Swainsboro, died Tuesday, Dec. 13, in Emanuel County Hospital after an extended illness. Graveside services were conducted at 11:30am Thursday from Swainsboro City Cemetery. The Rev. Troy Key officiated. Mr. Grier was a retired salesman, a member of Masonic Lodge 340, Woodmen of the World, and of McLeod Moring Camp Sons of Confederate Veterans. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Georgia McDaniel Grier of Swainsboro; two daughters, Mrs. Glenn Briercheck of York, Pa. and Mrs. Homer Durden III of Swainsboro; two sons, Tommy Francis Grier Jr. of Littleton, Col. and Lee McDaniel Grier of Neptune Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Leonard Blalock of Bellville, Mrs. E. E. Hansen of Dublin, and Mrs. George Harrell of Savannah; and six grandchildren. Peebles-Curry Mortuary of Swainsboro had charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Thomas was born 4-14-1913.
