Joseph M. Johnson
MIDVILLE, Ga.--Joseph Melmon Johnson, 68, of Midville died Tuesday in a
Savannah, Ga., hospital.
The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Thursday in Hines Baptist Church with the
Rev. Roy Drawdy officiating. Burial will be in Johnson Cemetery.
he was a native of Emanuel County and a member of Hines Baptist Church, the
Woodmen of the World, Midville Lodge. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Lucy Johnson; one daughter, Mrs. Joe L.
Howard, Savannah; three sons, Billy J. Johnson, Midville, Bobby Johnson,
Savannah, and Barney Johnson, Jackson, S.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Leon Flanders,
Waycross, Ga., and Mrs. Grady Osborn, Valdosta, Ga.
Pallbearers will include Neal Stevens, paul Moore, M.L. Powell, Charles
Funderburke, Walter Greenway and Ray Wilcher. 
Rhodes-Williams Funeral Home, Midville, is in charge.
