Peacock, 77, dies at local hospital on Friday Services for Freeman J. Peacock, 77, were held at 3pm Sunday at Sardis Baptist Church with the Rev. Earl Warnock officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mr. peacock died Friday in a Swainsboro hospital. A native of Emanuel County, he was a retired carpenter and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Silas Jackson and Mrs. Homer McIntyre of Tifton, Mrs. Hansel Hardy of Soperton, Mrs. George Crosby of Lennox, Mrs. Frankie Ross of Moultrie, Mrs. Bill Williams of Ashburn and Mrs. Winston Waller of Sylvester; two sons, Homer Peacock of Swainsboro and Thomas Peacock of Moultrie; two sisters, Mrs. Geneva Toler and Mrs. Dalals Pullen of Swainsboro; and two brothers, Arthur Peacock of Swainsboro and Oscar peacock of Savannah. Shadowlawn Mortuary of Swainsboro was in charge of arrangements. Additional Comments: Freeman was born 31 Jan 1900 to Joseph Jackson Peacock and Elmira Kersey Peacock who are also buried in Sardis. His wife was Queenie Maude Prather Peacock who is also buried in Sardis.
