Radford SWAINSBORO---- James Anderson Radford, 87, died Monday at Emanuel County Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Emanuel County and was a retired shrimper and mail carrier. He was a member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Mary T. Radford of Swainsboro; a son, James T. Radford of Clarkesville; two sisters, Merill Radford of Swainsboro and Ruby Odum of Soperton; a brother, Sherman Radford of Metter; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Funeral : 2pm today at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church, burial in Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Peebles-Curry-Durden Mortuary. Additional Comments: James was born 11 Oct 1905 to Benjamin Zacharias "Zachary" Radford and Miley Hall Radford. His wife, Mary Lee Tyson Radford is also buried at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Georgia death certificate #050135.
