                 Rowland Services Held On Tuesday In Thomson

Thomson-A McDuffie County woman has been charged with murder in connection 
with the Sunday shooting death of her husband, who was a native of Emanuel 
County.
 Delia "Faye" Rabun Rowland, 39, of Whiteoak Road was arrested after her 
husband, George 44, was shot in their home shortly before 4am, McDuffie County 
Sheriff William Swan said.
 Rowland was pronounced dead on arrival at McDuffie County Hospital.
 Swan said Rowland was shot witha 32-caliber pistol. He said at least five 
shots were fired. He was quoted as saying the shooting apparently took place 
after an argument.

 George Rowland, 44, of Route 5, Thomson, died Sunday in a McDuffie County 
hospital.
 The funeral was held at 10am Tuesday at Curtis Funeral Home chapel with the 
Rev. Donnie Bush and the Rev. Calvin Rowland officiating. Interment was in the 
Lambs Cemetery at Kite.
 Mr. Rowland was an Emanuel County native, but lived in McDuffie County for a 
number of years. He was retired from the US Navy.
 Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Faye Rabun Rowland; three daughters, Mrs. 
Barbara Riexinger of Washington, DC, and Miss Vivian Rowland and Miss Noreen 
Rowland, both of Thomson; his mother, Mrs. Annie Mae Foskey of Adrian; three 
sisters, Mrs. Ruby Lee Kersey of Adrian, Mrs. Margie Shappart of Haines City, 
Fla., and Mrs. Judy Neal of Martinez; and a brother, Ashley Rowland of Adrian.
 Pallbearers were Joe Rabun, Billy Rabun, Jerry Foss, Ray Hutcheson, Charles 
Radford, and Wayne Page.
 Curtis Funeral Home was in charge.

George was born 12-3-1933 to George Ashley Rowland and Annie Mae Bush Rowland 
Wilkes Foskey. Georgia death certificate #021856.
