Augusta Chronicle Sep 23 1921
Swainsboro, GA, Sept. 22. - D. L. Smith died very suddenly last night at his 
home here from acute indigestion.  The deceased was fifty-two years of age and 
was one of Swainsboro's  most substantial citizens.  He leaves a widow and two 
grown sons, father, one sister and several brothers.  Funeral will be held this 
afternoon at 5 o'clock and will be conducted by J. M. Foster, pastor of the 
Methodist church.

Additional Comments:
Death was determined to be heart failure according to the Certificate of Death.
