                          Joe T. Tyson, Wrightsville
 SWAINSBORO, Ga. May 31----Joe T. Tyson, 78, of Route 2 Wrightsville, died in 
a Laurens County hospital Friday after an extended illness. He was the son of 
the late Joe Tyson and Cindy Johnson and was a native of Washington County.
 Survivors are his wife, the former Curlie Powell; five sons, Joe C. Tyson, 
Fellsmere, Fla., Wylie Tyson Jr., Pembroke, Robert E. Tyson and Preston, 
Dublin, and Ernest Tyson, Wrightsville; six daughters, Mrs. A. G. Kight, 
Springfield, Mrs. H. D. Lindsey, Wrightsville, Mrs. Leon Nobles, Kite, Mrs. J. 
M. Flanders, Twin City, and Mrs. V. T. Ivey, Dublin; 29 grandchildren and 
eight great-grandchildren.
 Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:30pm at the Bethel Methodist Church 
by Elder Rollie Riner, Rev. W. P. Smitson, and Rev. M. R. Kenoyer. Burial will 
be in the church cemetery.
 The body will be at the residence until time for funeral services. T. C. 
Hunnicutt & Son of the Swainsboro Mortuary will be in charge of funeral 
arrangements.
 Pallbearers will be grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Tobe Fields, Otis 
Lee Kight, Joe H. Rowland, Emory Rowland, Charlie Meeks, Virgil Ivey, Leonard 
Powell, L. E. Parker Sr., Grayson Rowland, George Lawson, Jesse Anderson, 
Melvin West, Eason Foskey, George Webb, Leon Lamb, Gordon Greenway, and Marcus 
Anderson.

Additional Comments:
Joe was born 25 Feb 1880 to William Joseph "Joe" Tyson and Lucinda "Cindy" 
Johnson Tyson. Georgia death certificate #13106.
