Tyson Laid To Rest Sunday Swainsboro was made to grieve Saturday last when the sad death of Ex-Mayor Solomon Tyson was announced. For months he had been confined to his room, only occasionally coming up town to mingle for a short time with his friends. The turn came to the worse Friday and death came before noon Saturday. Emanuel County was honored went it sent Col. Tyson to the Legislature, Swainsboro profited when he was its active Mayor,the Swainsboro bar was at home with his companionship and cooperation,the public at large made and has a grand example of his life,and The Forest-Blade prospered under his brillant and skillful leadership. A good man has gone. The interment took place Sunday afternoon in the City Cemetery,the funeral ceremony being conducted by Eld. W. A. Lamb. The Pall Bearers were selected from the Swainsboro Bar and were Messers. F. H. Saffold, J. A. Smith, H. R. Daniel, W. F. Grey, A. S. Bradley, Alf Herrington and Jno. R. Powell Jr. Additional Comments: Solomon was born in 1875 and his wife was Lucenda E. "Sweeter" Durden Tyson.
