                        H. S. Tyson Dies Sunday
 Hoke S. Tyson, a retired Army Master Segeant, died Sunday Aug. 2 in the 
Walter Reed Army Hospital after a long illness. He was the son of the late S. 
J. Tyson and Elizabeth Durden Tyson, both natives of Emanuel County.
 Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. Lester Coleman and Mrs. P. D. Leonard, 
both of Swainsboro; two uncles, Tom Tyson of Swainsboro and Cephus Durden of 
Augusta; and a number of nieces and nephews.
 Funeral services were held Wednesday at 5pm from the chapel of Peebles-
DeLoach Mortuary with Elder N. A. Roberson officiating. Interment was in the 
Swainsboro City Cemetery.
 Pallbearers were Ralph Durden, Hugh Flanders, Flanders Peebles, M. G. Morris, 
Zazkie Lawson, and Rufus Webb.
 Peebles-DeLoach Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
