                             David Tyson Jr.
 Services for David Z. Tyson Jr., 75, of 406 S. Church St. will be held at 3pm 
Friday at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church in Emanuel County. The Rev. Reed 
Davis will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
 A native of Johnson County, Mr. Tyson was the son of the late David Z. and 
Viola Riner Tyson and the widower of Mildred Harrison Tyson. He was a retired 
carpenter and a member of Sardis Primitive Baptist Church. Mr. Tyson died 
Tuesday at a local nursing home after an extended illness.
 Survivors include a son, Willie Ervin Tyson of Dallas, Texas; two sisters, 
Mary Lee Radford of Swainsboro and Mrs. Henry J. Wheeler of East Dublin; two 
brothers, W. C. Tyson of Adrian and Jerry G. Tyson of Minneapolis, Minn.; and 
a grandson.
 Servibg as pallbearers will be Gene Cox, Ronnie Cox, Jimmy Radford, Julian 
Peacock, Billy Joe Peacock, and Henry Flanders.
 The family may be contacted at the residence of W. C. Tyson in Adrian.
 The family will greet friends tonight at Sammons Funeral Home in Soperton.
