The funeral was conducted at 2pm Saturday from Hooks Mortuary Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Aaron Reeves and Rev. Lamar Terrell officiated. Burial was in Stillmore city Cemetery. Mrs. Whitfield was a native of Uvalda and was a member of Vidalia Church of God. She was a former employee of Union Camp in Savannah and worked 14 years as secretary of David Emanuel Academy, Stillmore. Survivors include her husband Aaron Whitfield of Stillmore; a son, Daryl Whitfield of Stillmore; her mother, Mrs. Luna Lanier Foskey of Savannah; two sisters, Mrs. Frankie Kicklighter and Mrs. Dorothy Carter, both of Savannah; and a brother, Howard Foskey of Collins.
