Son of James Buchanan Youmans and Sarah Bazemore; 
married 1881 Isabella Williamson, 
Daughter of Solomon Williamson and Delila Trapnell 
- 11 children. 
Married second 1903 Ella Jane Hursey of North Carolina 
- 5 children. 
Buried in Hoke County, North Carolina.
