SNELL or so much thereof as shall be produced to you by the Administrator thereof, amongst the heirs and distributees of said B.L.W. W. SNELL, deceased, among the distributees, entitled to said estate, we proceded this day to the performance of that duty. There were ten distributees we, Katharine Snell, widow of said Barnabus L.W. Snell, deceased, Eliza Moorman, William B. Snell, John W. Snell, Mary Ann Childs, and Elizabeth Snell, Children of said Barnabus L.W. Snell dec’d, of full age, and Georgia Ann Snell, Martha Snell, Ruth Snell and Hodges Snell, minor children of said Barnabus L.W. Snell, deceased, whose interest were represented in said distribution by Katharine Snell, Guardian of said minor children, Georgia Ann Snell, Martha Snell, Ruth Snell and Hodges Snell. The property produced to the commissioners by the Administrator for distribution was arranged into lots in the following manner: The heirs were each allowed to select a share the same which the deceased, had in his lifetime, had signified, his intention to give to such child, and then another slave or slaves was added to make the lot complete. The land was laid off into ten lots and numbered, 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, & 10. Number 1 was given to Mrs. Katharine Snell containing the house and 386 acres of land. The 2nd consisted in 200 acres, which had been given by the deceased to his daughter Eliza Moorman, and 186 acres joining the ( ? ) and was set apart, as the share of said Eliza Moorman. The numbers 3,4,5,6,7,8,9, & 10 were deposited in a hat and the names of the remaining eight distributees were deposited in another hat and a name drawn from one hat and a number from the other until all were drawn out, and the result of the above distribution was that Lot no. 1 consisted of 386 acres of land valued at $800.00, a man, Will $800.00 and a woman Nice $150.00 in all, $2350.00 set apart for Mrs. Katharine Snell. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Lot No. 2 consisted of 386 acres of land valued at $1.50 per acre $ 579.00 one woman Rose valued at 1000.00 and one boy Sam 500.00 ________ set apart for Eliza Moorman $2079.00 wife of Simeon J. Moorman and daughter of B.L.W.
