Mrs. Essa Saxon

Claxton -- Mrs. Essa Saxon, 63, died in the Bulloch County Hospital Wednesday.

She was a native of Evans County and a member of St. Christopher Catholic 
Church.

Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. P. J. Vicari of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. 
L. B. Kennedy Jr. of Cummings, and Mrs. Nell Jones of Atlanta; two sons, Carl 
E. Saxon of Washington and Aubrey C. Saxon of U.S. Air Force; a brother, 
Willie B. Johnson of Miami; four sisters, Mrs. Mildred Bragg, Mrs. Jessie 
Brown and Mrs. Catherine Bragg all of Savannah, and Mrs. Janie Akins of 
Reidsville; and 12 grandchildren.

NeSmith Funeral Home is in charge.

Additional Comments:
Essie Saxon was born Essie Johnson on March 26, 1906, one of five children of 
David B. Johnson (1877-1910) and Mary Jane Dukes Johnson Brewton 1880-1934).  
Essie's siblings were Cary Rudolph Johnson, Ella Mae Johnson, Thelma L. 
Johnson, and Willie Burton Johnson.
