Petty Family Cemetery Inscriptions, Fannin County, GA I would like to add a cemetery in Fannin County, Georgia in an area called Skeenah. It is called the Petty Family Cemetery.Elijah Petty and his 2nd. wife Sarah (Parker) Petty came from North Carolina to Fannin County in 1850 or 1851. (At the time it was Union County). Buried here with them are their daughter Mary "Polly" (Petty) Walker and her husband William Payton Walker and twin infants unnamed in the same grave. Here are the names and dates as written on the stones of the graves: Elijah Petty died April 27, 1881 aged 77yrs 5mos 2ds Sarah wife of Elijah Petty died Aug 19, 1897 aged 79yrs. 3mo 17dys W.
