From the McCaysville Citizen, McCaysville, GA (Fannin County), April 
18, 1968:

Mrs. Alice Kearley Clark, 77, former resident of Cherokee County, NC, 
died in the Lenoir North Carolina Hospital early Monday morning April 
15 following a lingering illness. Mrs. Clark will be remebered here 
as the sister of the late Herschel Kerley of McCaysville. Surviving Mrs. 
Clark are several nieces and nephews, two of these being Mrs. Grace Hyde 
and Mrs. Harry Montieth of McCaysville. Interment was in the Mount Moriah 
Baptist Church in Cherokee County, NC.
