Johnson, 68, lifelong resident of Polk County and a retired employee of the Tennessee Copper Company, died late Monday evening following a long illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Nora Russell, of the home; five sons, Edward, McCaysville, Ralph, Postelle, Tenn., Kenneth, Titusville, Fla., Ray, US Navy, Mobile, Alabama, and Kyle, US Army, Huntsville, Ala.; one brother, Henry, Witmore, Tenn.; one sister, Miss Elizabeth Johnson, California; and 10 grandchildren. Interment was in the Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
