He was enroute to Copperhill when his automobile was seen leaving the road near Pantertown by friends. Apparently he was stricken too suddenly to stop his automobile. Mr. Wise was born in Cherokee County, N. C., the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James C. Wise. He was married to the former Mattie Henson. Mr. Wise retired from General Motors in Detroit, Mich. He had returned to Blue Ridge about a year ago to make his home. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Clarence of Atlanta, Clyde of East Point, Ga., Wayne of Roswell, Ga., and Wade of Ypselanti, Mich.; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Bennett of Detroit, and Mrs. Dorothy Authier of Wayne, Mich.; one brother, Loyd Wise of California; three sisters, Mrs. Vienna Robinson of Mineral Bluff, Ga., Mrs. Zellie Stewart and Mrs. Marie Reddon, both of Asheville, N. C.; and 15 grandchildren. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
