Elijah Webb Chastain was a Captain and Colonel in the Seminole Indian War; 
U.S. Congressman from Georgia, 1851-1855; State's attorney for the Western and 
Atlantic Railroad, 1860-1861; and Colonel of the First Georgia Regiment in the 
Confederate Army during the Civil War.  He was the husband of Clarissa Saxon 
Brazelton.
