Jeptha's home was located in the Seventh District, Land Lot 121, Fayette County, Georgia. The cemetery is in a wooded area near the boundary between the towns of Tyrone and Peachtree City. It is accessible from the abandoned section of Peachtree Parkway. Peachtree Parkway was relocated when Joel Cowan Parkway was built. The cemetery contains graves with legible inscriptions on some of the markers and sites where the markers are no longer legible. There are some unmarked graves as well. The following graves contain markers with inscriptions and dates. LANDRUM, JEPTHA, SON OF JOSEPH LANDRUM OF JACKSON CO. B. NOVEMBER 21, 1803, WARREN CO., GA. D. SEPTEMBER 2, 1870, FAYETTE CO. G, 30TH GA. INF. CSA Larkin de Lafayette Landrum was the son of Jeptha and Frances Fowler Landrum Charles and Rebecca Ann Elder Clements were friends of the Landrums, and were related to Jane Watts Landrum, the wife of Larkin Landrum. Washington Landrum was the son of Larkin Landrum and Jane Watts Landrum. He died in service with the Confederate Army. He was born February 12, 1825. The following graves contain markers that are no longer legible, but based on all known information; I think the graves contain the following family members. LANDRUM, FRANCES JEFFERSON B. MAR 4, 1827 D. JUN 10, 1837 LANDRUM, LARKIN B. 1795 D. 1842 LANDRUM, JANE WATTS B. 1797 D. These three graves were probably the first burials in the cemetery. The markers are the large above ground rectangle box designs of the period. Two of the markers are side by side for a husband and wife. These are probably the graves of Larkin and Jane Landrum. Larkin Landrum was the older brother of Jeptha. The third marker is slightly smaller that the others, and is near the graves of Jeptha and Frances Landrum. This is probably the grave of Frances Jefferson Landrum, the ten-year-old son of Jeptha and Frances, who drowned in the gin pond on their plantation. The unmarked graves are probably the burial sites for slaves owned by Jeptha Landrum. The Jeptha Landrum Family Bible indicates that slaves were buried in the Landrum Family Cemetery.
