Cook of the county and State aforesaid of the one part, and Joshua Hanes of the other. Witnesseth that the said Rowland B. Cook for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars to him paid by the said Joshua Hanes at and before the sealing and delivering of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, hath granted, bargained and sold, and by these presents doth grant, bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Joshua Hanes, his heirs and assigns in fee simple all that lot or tract of land lying and being in the thirteenth district originally Henry now Fayette County, and known in the place of said district by lot number one hundred and eighteen. To have and to hold the said bargained premises together with all and singular the rights, encumbers and appurtenances thereunto belonging to him the said Joshua Hanes, his heirs and assigns forever, and the said Rowland B. Cook for himself, his heirs, Executors and administrators the said bargained premises unto the said Joshua Hanes, his heirs and assigns will and by these presents doth warrant and forever defend against the claim, or claims, of all and every person or persons whatsoever.
