Solomon Strickland (1735-1818) served as a soldier. He died in Madison Co. Alexander Thompson (1739-1815) was a refugee to Georgia where he served as a soldier at the battle of King's Mountain. David Dickson (1750-1830) served on the frontier and commanded a volunteer company. He received land for his [p.302] service. He was born in Pendleton Co., S. C.; died in Fayette Co., Ga. Richard Burton (1735-1800) served in Georgia under Col. Elijah Clark. He died in Wilkes Co. Jesse Womack (1739-1815) served under Gen. John Twiggs and received bounty land. He was also judge of the Washington County, Virginia Court, when nine Tories were hung for murder and treason. He was born in Virginia; died in Wilkes County, Ga.
